Activities

The Views are spectacular. The hikes are unreal. The fishing is world famous. Go ahead, see for yourself!

Dragon Lake:

The Bounder is located on this incredible lake, it truly has everything. World famous fishing with trophy trout, ample bird habitat that can be viewed from a canoe, kayak, paddle board or speed boat. Not too deep and swimmable. We are excited to offer you the lakeside experience of sunrise and sunsets, the calls of loons and wind through the trees.

The Town of Quesnel:

Quesnel is a bustling little city in central BC, nestled in the pristine Cariboo region. Our Industrial roots are strong- logging, mining, farming and originally gold mining all thrive here.

Big Mature Trees line the streets and two rivers run through Quesnel carrying energy to them.

Make your way to spirit square in the downtown core, grab a coffee from one of the many locally owned cafes, and jump on the river walk trail to truly take in the Fraser and Quesnel rivers.

Barkerville Historic Town Site:

Is one of the most well preserved pieces of history in British Columbia. In the early 1900’s, it was the largest settlement north of San Francisco, and the road between the two – Known as the Gold Rush Trail- has stories that will blow your mind. Striking Gold, cut-throat competition, and vile betrayal. Lives lived by some of the bravest souls, who were willing to risk everything to strike it rich.

Hiking Trails:

The Wonderland Trail network is on the South East side of Dragon Lake, so please don’t hesitate to bring your mountain bike and hiking boots! Located 10.2 km southeast of Quesnel on Quesnel-Hydraulic Rd, is this recently updated network of multi-use trails for hiking and biking. This wonderful resource will not disappoint.
